These are the terms for using the Fore Squad app and website. Using them means you agree to these terms.

What Fore Squad is

Fore Squad keeps score for golf trips and works out who owes whom based on the games and buy-ins your group sets up. It is a calculator and a shared scoreboard. It does not hold, move, or guarantee money, and it is not a gambling service. Whether and how your group settles up is entirely between the people on the trip.

Your account

You can use Fore Squad as a guest or link an Apple or Google account. You are responsible for what is entered from your device. Commissioners are responsible for the setup of their trip, including games, handicaps and money.

Acceptable use

• Enter scores honestly. Every entry records who made it.
• Do not use Fore Squad to run anything illegal where you are, including wagering that is not permitted between friends in your jurisdiction.
• Do not scrape, reverse engineer, or overload the service.

Money

Buy-ins, pots, splits and transfers shown in Fore Squad are calculations from the numbers your group entered. We are not a party to any payment. Venmo links open the Venmo app; payments made there are governed by Venmo. Paid marks are a courtesy record set by players and are not proof of payment.

Handicaps and courses

Course data may be entered by users or imported from third-party sources and can contain errors. Verify ratings, slopes and stroke indexes at the pro shop. Fore Squad is not affiliated with the USGA, GHIN, or any golf association.

Availability

We work hard to keep Fore Squad up during your trip, and scores queue on your phone when signal drops. Still, the service is provided as is, without warranties, and we are not liable for lost scores, missed payouts, or disputes among players. If we have to end the service, we will give notice and a way to export your trips.

Pricing

Playing is free. If we add paid features for commissioners, the price will be shown before you buy and you can cancel any time.
